Underground Magic Carpet

Underground Wakestyle/Tray boards are fast becoming the most popular boards amongst advanced riders and professionals. They are very thin (18-20mm) which provides flex and spring for preloading jumps, without using the lift of the kite. Underground has refined the flex pattern and outline of their boards to maximize the olly power or pop of a board while retaining its upwind ability. The section between straps/bindings is stiffened with carbon fiber which provides a stable ride with nice springy tips. UG kiteboards are designed using Macsurf, a 3-D CAD program. The solid divinicell core is computer cut on a CNC mill then sandwich laminated under high pressure and temperature on a computer designed/cut press (similar to snowboard construction). The lamination is epoxy, with a durable epoxy gelcoat finish on the bottom. The Magic Carpet (158cm x 43) is a new design for super lightwind or sailors over 200 pounds. These boards have a super-wide outline which puts them in their own category. This board has really good upwind capability due to its straight outline and excellent preload for jumps. This makes it ideal for working a small competition area and is great fun for technical freestyle in lightwind flatwater. Deck is sculpted with divots under the grab handle and on the rails to facilitate grab moves. Comes complete ready to ride with fins, hardware, grab handle, dual density pads, and custom Underground widestyle footstraps. Available in a Pro version utilizing carbon glass with the same great flex pattern but gaining a 30% weight savings.
