Kite Beach, Maui, Hawaii

If this is your very first kiteboard lesson, or if you just want to make sure you'll have the safest conditions in the entire Hawaiian islands, the chances are your lesson will be taught here in Kahului, HI at world renown Kite Beach. There are two ways to get to our location.

(Option #1). Directions to, Kite Beach, Maui from the airport

1. Head southeast on Lanui Cir

2. Slight left toward Lanui Cir

3. Turn left onto Lanui Cir

4. Take the 1st right onto Koeheke St

5. Continue onto Kaa St  
0.2 mi
6. Turn left onto Alahao St  
0.4 mi
7. Continue onto Amala Pl

Basically, just go to the airport, and drive all the way through. It’s best to stay in one of the right lanes. Follow the signs to the rental car return. Turn right on Koeheke St which turns into Kaa St. and drive to the end. Make a a left at the stop sign on to Alahao St (also called Amala Place)

Just after making the turn, continue down the road. You will pass a white little bridge. Immediately after the bridge, make a right hand turn into theĀ gravel parking lot. Meet us at the School Van and get ready for your lesson!

1. Head northwest on State Hwy 36/Hana Hwy

2. Slight right onto E Kamehameha Ave

3. Continue onto Hobron Ave

4. Turn right onto Amala Pl  
0.9 mi

Basically, starting at our store, turn right onto Hana Highway. You will vere to the right onto Kamehameha Ave. It's a large industrial area, so you will see Matson containers and other industrial businesses. Make a right hand turn onto Amala Pl. Once on Amala Pl, continue driving for less than a mile, and your lesson will be on the left hand side. Look for a gravel road parking lot, and park as close to our school van as possible. If you pass the white bridge, you've gone a hair too far. And if you get lost, please do not hesitate to contact us at (808) 852-1938. You will most likely see kites in the air (if after 11am).


What to bring:
Towel, sunscreen, sunglasses and water is recommended. Men: boardshorts, Girls: Swimsuit and boardshorts or yoga shorts. We use seat harnesses and they have straps that go around the tops of your legs so shorts are advised. If you have your own lycra rashquard and want to wear it , bring it; otherwise we have one's that you may use.
